The 2007 and up Toyota Tundra Double Cab trucks are completely limited on space for a stereo system. The only usable space for a subwoofer is under the rear seat and shallow mount subs are a must because of the limited space. Even with shallow subs airspace is limited. This design uses either a single or dual 10” or 12” subs with a total airspace of 1.5cuft but the mounting depth is only 4.75” with my metal back plates or 4 1/4” without so no traditional subs and even certain shallow subs still won’t fit. Most company’s try to save space by using thinner wood which makes a weaker box which is a no-no in my book, better box better bass! I’ve seen this box made and sold using 1/2” MDF with 1/8” wood extension plates and of course it failed and rattled terribly. This box uses every last square inch of available airspace with full 3/4″ construction and an optional plate on the back of the box to get the most mounting depth possible. My box also is divided for the dual sub versions to get the right amount or airspace for the subs and to also brace the box in the middle better to make it that much stronger. Another thing I did to get a better box design was to get rid of the cut out around the seat belts. By moving the back of the box forward by 4” I am able to use 1 piece of wood instead of 5 which again means a stronger box with less seams to fail. The MTX TT65 Shallow mount subs fit great without the back plate and I can even do one 10” or 12” ported box for much deeper bass and higher output.

For a smaller single sub version I have a single sub version that fits on the driver side only and is 1cuft of airspace which is perfect for a good single 12” or 10” sub. Or for even less space I have a small passenger side box that fits in fron of the floor jack. It is .5cuft which is perfect for most shallow mount 10” subs and it lets you keep the space under the 60% side for storage. No one else has a sub option like that.
